When Friends premiered in 1994, nobody could have imagined that the new hit show would be just as popular, if not more so, almost thirty years later. Whether it's Ross's luminous white teeth, Phoebe's questionable homemade crafts (Gladys, anyone?), or Rachel's nightgown worn as a dress, Friends has always kept us laughing.

So, what is it that keeps us coming back for more? Of course, the laughs are a huge part of our attraction, but more than that is the feeling of connection with the characters. Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler, and Joey are not just visions on the screen. For many of us, they are just as genuine as any person we see in real life. They all have flaws, they all have quirks, but they all persevere, grow, and have dreams like anyone of us does. Not to mention, we feel like they really are our friends.
